It’s funny, that the concept of a pantheon has been around for far longer than monotheism. Ingrained into our very primal desires when our forefathers would give praise to the earth for the crop yeild, praise to the sea for the fish and so on.
This is also during a time when we were most tribal, seperated into sects where leadership was determind by streangth or divine right, a time many current religions would call barbaric.
Funny then that Democracy, the state where a group of people is elected by the population to lead should be concidered superior to previous methods such as dictatorship or hereditry rule when religion itself has altered itself to the belief of only one true being.
How can we expect a group of people to lead the world when we struggle enough with which G-d is actually up there?
